My materials are purchased second-hand, and may have minor imperfections, which add to the character and beauty of the garments. I use recycled materials purchased at local thrift shops, flea markets and yard sales to create each garment. All fabrics are washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer prior to being cut, but natural fibers can continue to shrink.
Sweaters: Wash in cold water and tumble dry low or no heat, or preferably lay flat to dry. Use a hot iron with steam on the inside of the seams to flatten the garment after washing. Should any threads come loose, please just cut them off. Please DO NOT PULL. All ends have been tightly finished off so nothing will unravel or fray.
Skirts: Wash as you would a tshirt. Generally any item of clothing will be better off if you wash it in cold water with similar colors, no bleach, tumble dry low, and for printed shirts, iron inside-out on a low setting. Do not wash with large items, like sheets, because the ties will wrap around everything and create a soggy knot of laundry.
Leather: Blot excess liquid up as quickly as possible with a clean 100% cotton white absorbent cloth or sponge. If necessary, use clean lukewarm water only and let dry naturally. Do not dry with hair dyer, etc. Do not bend or crush.
